I live in Owings Mills, MD.  I actually grew up, went to college, and worked several years down south.  I moved to MD 7 years ago when I got a job with a large DoD contractor in the area.  I'm a technical writer, which a fancy name for someone who writes God-awful, boring documents for the U.S. Army.  I can't complain though; my job is very interesting.  :)

I LOVE to read.  I started out with Dr. Seuss, then moved on Mrs. Piggle Wiggle, then Judy Blume.  Skip forward a few years and my favorite authors are Amy Tan, Pat Conroy, Khaled Hosseini, Maya Angelou, etc.  I love contemporary fiction, non-fiction (mainly memoirs), and classics. 

I fear that I'm now addicted to PBS.  I check all the time to see if anyone might have posted a book that I never thought of reading.   I've also started posting on the forums.  PBS has created another monster!!!
